Hide AdCrew manager Justin Bomyer said: “We received the call at 1.48pm this afternoon. The water was at least 50 metres wide and just over a metre in depth
“Police had already cordoned off the area and we assessed the situation. We found the house most at risk of flooding and decided to make a hole in the wall of the driveway to stop the house getting flooded.”
Water from the flood has now cleared but the road is still currently closed due to an oil leak from a car that was stuck in the flooding.
Rebecca Struthers lives in one of houses affected by the flood.

“I have lived here for six years and I have never seen this happen.”
