The free Journeys Dance Festival attracted large crowds at the Stade Open Space in Hastings and on Bexhill Lawns.
They were treated to a UK premiere performance by Zaza Tsara - a troupe of dancers from Mayotte, a tiny archipelago in the Indian Ocean, between Madagascar and Tanzania.

At Hastings the Stade was filled with crowds joining in with the uplifting vibes of top UK reggae band Gabbidon, fronted by founder member of Steele Pulse, Basil Gabbidon.
In the days before the festival, the Mayottian dancers ran dance workshops with local dance groups, Phoenix Inferno and Sheik’s Delights, performing together at the festival.
The sun shone in Bexhill for an afternoon of multicultural dance.
