The charity funds raised were then boosted by a trip to the local Salehurst Halt by four tired witches, where the locals generously supported the cause and received them with offerings of chips.
Robertsbridge locals Liz Martin, Val Gallagher and Rob and Jo Rainsbury came up with idea as a good alternative for families to the usual trick or treat dilemma and marvellous fund raising opportunity.
They decided to split the proceeds this year between two charities, the local Chestnut Tree Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London.
