Crawley Town's Liverpool loanee takes positives from Northampton Town defeat

The 18-year-old Liverpool loanee said with the number of chances they created they could have easily have won the game.
He said: “I feel like we all worked very hard, we implanted the game plan well and unfortunately we didn’t get the right result but we are showing some promising signs. I feel we created enough chances to win the game and on any other day those chances go in and we take the three points.”

Hide AdIt was a bittersweet evening for Balagizi, after scoring his first and second goal in professional football and winning the man of the match award combined with a very frustrating defeat.
Balagizi wanted to take the positives, he said: “You dream about it as a kid (scoring your first goal) I’m really happy to do it here, the result was very unfortunate but I’m really happy with my two goals.”
Balagizi explained how hard he had been working in training when it came to finishing chances and thinks goal contributions will be a big part of his game going forward.
“For my goals tonight I had to stay cool and composed in the box I’ve been working with the coaches really well, I’ve had a couple of missed chances in other games and thankfully the work I’ve been putting in is starting to pay off,” he said.

Balagizi is confident Crawley can turn their fortunes around. He said “even though there are quite a lot of new faces we are gelling together really well, and sooner or later we will start getting the right results. The signs are looking positive.”
