A HERSTMONCEUX mother crashed and rolled her car over after getting behind the wheel while drunk, a court has heard.
Clare Louise Clarke, 35, of Fiennes Road, Herstmonceux, was involved in an accident in the early hours of June 18 and was arrested at the scene for drink driving.

The mother-of-two appeared before district judge Roger Ede sitting at Eastbourne on Friday morning and admitted a charge of excess alcohol.

The court heard she had been on a rare night out with friends and was staying away from home.

She fell asleep but then awoke at 2am and decided to drive her Ford Fusion car home.

She had an accident and rolled her car. A breath test revealed 84 mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath — the legal limit is 35mcg.

Clark was disqualified from driving for 20 months and fined £250. She was also ordered to pay £75 court costs.

District judge Ede told her, "You were not fit to drive and were a danger to other people."
