Woman charged with stealing from her employer

A WOMAN is to appear at Crown Court charged with stealing cash from Wealden District Council.
Christine Buckingham, 40, of Pevensey Road, St Leonards on Sea, was an employee of the council.

She is accused of stealing between £150 amd £700 at a time from the council between April 2006, and September 2007.

She has been granted unconditional bail and will appear at Eastbourne Magistrates Court to be committed for trial on August 8.
