Do not feed the seagulls

It is not unusual for seagulls to knock on windows and doors to ask for food. It happens around here often.
But it should be discouraged as they are wild birds and should be on the beaches getting their own food which has certain vitamins for them. Bread shouldn't be fed to them – there's no goodness for birds in it. I have known two seagulls hurt because people don't like them, as they get very spiteful and attack people when they have babies, so people who feed them are doing them harm. So do not feed them for their sake and yours. You may think you are being kind but let them be free and safe back in the wild. Do not feed them. –
Brenda and George Strevett, Aylesbury Avenue.
