Beauty salon aims to smash nail painting world record on Worthing Pier
Euphoric, in South Farm Road, Worthing, will attempt the feat on Saturday, October 26 and need nearly 1,200 people to turn up on the day.
The ambitious attempt is in celebration of the beauty salon’s tenth year in business and will also raise funds for Guild Care and Breast Cancer Care.

“Now all we need is for the residents of Worthing and beyond to get behind us and take part in this fun event and support two very worthwhile charities. “After all, it is something to tell the grandchildren in the future.”
The current holder of the record is Taiwan, which set the bar at 1,156 people in 2011.
Worthing mayor Bob Smytherman, who will verify the event, said: “I think it is a really great opportunity to put Worthing on the map and to beat the Taiwanese record would be fantastic.

“There should be a lot of people in the town starting their Christmas shopping, so I am sure we could get them on the pier and painting their nails.”
Those who attend the event are asked to provide a donation of £1 on the day.
They should gather at the pier between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, with the record attempt taking-place at 2.45pm.
