Doctors from doomed Mill Stream Medical Centre to work at neighbouring Storrington surgery
HDC wants to reassure residents that it is working closely with neighbouring practice Glebe Surgery and the West Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group to respond to this situation.
The council is not responsible for provision of medical services but it is urgently looking at ways where it can provide assistance both in the short and longer term to provide continued medical services for patients. This includes additional parking provision and ensuring that it can give rapid permission for any extra temporary accommodation that may be needed.

Hide AdRay Dawe, leader of Horsham District Council and local ward member, said: “This is understandably a worrying time for people in the Storrington area. It is pleasing to note, however, that the Glebe doctors have told us that they are very keen to welcome Mill Stream patients.
“We understand that they are currently booking those doctors who have been providing a locum service at Mill Stream to come and work alongside them so that they can provide good continuity of care.
“While it is important to react quickly to this news about Mill Stream, we are also pushing for an acceleration of the examination that was already underway as to how the district council, the parish council and other partners can assist in providing good quality medical facilities in Storrington over the medium and longer term.”
