“The reason for this evening is that in recent months, we have had threats to A&E at Worthing Hospital due to the aborted MSK contract, GPs struggling to cope with demand and waiting lists getting longer, privatisation and outsourcing of some services, the Southlands land sale, a mental health crisis and other local issues.”
The public meeting, entitled What’s Happening to Our NHS?, will be held at the Shoreham Centre on Friday, from 7.30pm to 9pm.
Dr Walker said: “This meeting gives people a chance to have their say, find out more and discuss the future of the NHS in our district.
“The event is not party political, rather a chance for local people to find out and ask questions.”
