We are so fortunate to have dedicated local volunteers who whatever the weather do their best to put on an exciting evening for us each year. The Hastings Borough Bonfire Society works tirelessly throughout the year to raise funds for our special evening at the conclusion of Hasting Week.
They also act as ambassadors for our town by travelling all around the county in support of other bonfire celebrations.

Hide AdOf course there are ‘Health and Safety’ regulations to be respected and HBBS acknowledge these but still present us with a spectacular, well controlled event and display.
Here in All Saints Street we appreciated the fact that there were no explosives in oil-drums which nearly deafened one resident for life and caused absolute misery for many family pets.
As one of many thousands who watched the parade, I have to say that I think it was pitched just right and provided a fitting conclusion to Hastings’ commemoration of the 950th Anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.
Despite foul weather HBBS and the visiting bonfire societies did us proud.
