Residents need all the facts

No where did I “urge residents to sign the petition against the proposed sand extraction project at Hammes Farm”.
My objective was to draw residents’ attention to the meeting and public exhibition hosted by WSCC at the Steyning Centre on May 23, on which the Herald subsequently reported.

Hide AdResidents have every right to know all the facts. They were concerned that they had not been aware that consultation was to end on June 17.
They needed enough information and time to respond either in favour or against the proposal.
I am not a member of any campaign but felt residents were being denied time to express their opinions on such an important issue.
They would also have the opportunity to examine the proposals at first hand and ask questions.
