Partytime in Middleton and Teddy comes too
Each of the 26 youngsters who went along to the occasion for Paddington Bear took their favourite teddy.
The toys came in all shapes and sizes as they joined in the fun at the picnic of sandwiches, including Paddington's favourite of marmalade, a Paddington Bear cake and homemade biscuits in his image.

Hide AdPride of place at the event held by Jubilee Pre-School on the Jubilee playing fields went to two Paddington Bears. One is owned by the pre-school's owner, Betty Labron. She said everyone, including the bears, enjoyed themselves.
Each child who attended was asked to pay at least 1 to help sick and vulnerable babies through the Action Medical Research charity. The total raised was 75.
