The line between Robertsbridge and Hastings reopened at 3.30pm yesterday afternoon, 24 hours after a freight train came off the tracks at Mountfield.
However it was closed again a short time afterwards due to a fallen tree on the tracks.

But signalling problems between Battle and Robertsbridge this morning (Friday) has led to cancellations, delays of up to 20 minutes and services being revised at short notice.
It is not clear when the problem will be fixed.
A spokesperson for train operator Southeastern said: “We apologise to any passengers affected by this disruption and thank them for their patience.”
Passengers are advised to check with National Rail Enquiries at www.nationalrail.co.uk for information about services before travelling.
