Thousands turn out for Worthing’s spectacular firework display
The funfair was in full swing on the seafront in Montague Place with the smell of cooked meats emanating from the food market in South Street.
Children took part in free workshops during the day to create their very own lanterns.

A spokesman for Tide of Light said on Facebook: “Thank you Worthing for coming out in your thousands yet again for such a great evening.
“We fought the rain and the wind and we partied in the Pavilion, and for a short while the rain went away and we watched amazing fireworks, and ate great food.
“We’re so glad our amazing town made the best of the worst and put up with all the last minute changes. It’s good night from us. From all the Tide of Light Tea and all of Worthing Directory.”
