What’s bin going on here?

They have added colour and character to roads in Peacehaven and Newhaven, and even a pond in Rottingdean, but people in the towns have been left guessing as to who is responsible for the modifications and the reasons behind it. The bins, which have been numbered one to ten, are dotted around the area, with one in Newhaven, one in Rottingdean, one on St Dunstan’s roundabout and seven in Peacehaven. Daniel Moon, who took the photographs, said: “We think they appeared overnight on Sunday, as one of the shop owners said they found it outside on Monday morning. “We have no idea who is responsible or why they’ve done it, but it’s quite amusing. People have been going around trying to find all ten. “I thought it might be something to promote the upcoming TyeFest, as they have a minion appearing there, but Mayor Wayne Botting has denied it, and there are no minion bins in Telscombe or Saltdean. “It’s a complete mystery.” Peacehaven Town Council are also oblivious as to who was responsible but said it “admires their creativity” and the ‘binions’, as they have been named, have brought a smile to the faces of local residents. In Peacehaven, the ‘binions’ can be found outside and opposite Natwest, Capel Avenue, outside the Sussex Coaster, by the bus stop opposite Downland Avenue, Ashington Gardens and outside the Annex Stores. In Newhaven, it is by the bus stop outside Kwik Fit, on Brighton Road, and the other two are in Rottingdean Pond and St Dunstan’s roundabout. Do you know who was responsible?
