ONE of Seaford's finest houses has come onto the market with a £2 million price tag.
Florence House (below) was originally built as a private residence in the 1920s by a local builder, as a wedding present for his daughter.
The three-storey Voysey style house is built of granite and is in good condition.
"The property is in very good condition and would be an ideal property for a private purchaser seeking a seaside retreat or for another institutional user looking for a beautiful and striking location," said a spokesperson from Knight Frank.
The house is set in six acres of grounds including a walled garden, kitchen garden and mature borders.
There are views across the South Downs and the surrounding area is awaiting confirmation of the designation as part of the South Downs National Park.
The entire grounds also come under the statutory designation of Heritage Coast.
The house has previously been used as a holistic retreat and educational centre and at present there is a substantial main house, office block and further separate accommodation.
Alex Stanford-Tuck of Knight Frank added, "It is rare that properties with this scale of accommodation and grounds come up in such fantastic locations on the south coast.
"This is an opportunity not to be missed by any Institutional user looking to relocate to the area, or a private purchaser looking for a substantial seaside retreat."
The current guide price for Florence House is £2m.
