Sally Evans was presented with the coveted Diamond Award by Weight Watchers at its regional conference at the Excel Centre in London.
Sally, who runs three classes, one of which is in Seaford, received the award from Weight Watchers Senior UK vice
president Mads Ryder.
Sally, who was delighted to be recognised by the company, has herself lost six stone.
She said, "After losing this weight my confidence and self-esteem had gone through the roof, it was then that I decided that I wanted to help as many people as I possibly could to eat healthily and lose weight.
"Nearly 15 years ago I became a leader and have taken meetings in many Sussex towns and villages.
"Thirty-five years ago I started my married life in Seaford, therefore, I feel honoured my members keep coming back and I still feel as if I'm part of this very friendly community."
Area manager Rebecca Watson said the award was very much deserved.
"It'll be an inspiration to her existing and new members who are either half way through or just starting their weight loss journey.
"They can be confident that Sally is among the best Weight Watchers has and will continue to offer a fantastic service. The award is given as recognition of the numbers of members Sally has and the fact that they keep coming back to her meetings to get vital support."
You can see Sally in action at the Seaford Over 60s Club at Sutton Corner on Monday at 10am or visit www.weightwatchers.co.uk
