Number three seed Vera Zonareva bowed out of the Women's international Open with a straight sets defeat to fellow Russian Ekaterina Marakova.
Zonareva lost 6-3, 6-3 to Marakova who always looked in control on a breezy Devonshire Park centre court.

Makarova 20, will now face Nadia Petrova in the quarter final.
