Well, what do we say about Saturday's game?
For our travelling fans it must have been a great match to watch even if the result wasn't what they hoped for.
For the players and management, like the previous Saturday against Rushden, we were all bitterly disappointed in the changing room after the game.
To go away from home to a place like Oxford and score three goals and not come away with at least a point shows we still have a bit to learn in this division.
Positives for us were we more than matched a good Oxford side for the first hour and of course we did manage to score the goals, all of which were well worked good effort.
We also created several more good half chances but the downside, as the scoreline suggests, is that we didn't defend well enough as a team especially in the last 20 minutes.
Maybe the toils of the previous six days took their toll on us a little but we will have many more weeks like this over the season and we will need to cope better if we are to be successful.
Straight away next week we have two more games in three days, the first against Cambridge at home followed by Grays away.
Another two hard games but four points from the weekend is a realistic target, hopefully picking up our first win in front of our supporters at Priory Lane on Saturday.
