Cricketers keep title hopes alive

Skipper Tom Smith took 5-40 as Eastbourne cricketers kept their title hopes alive with a five-wicket victory against Chichester at the Saffrons.
Eastbourne took full advantage of leaders Preston Nomad's surprise home defeat to Brighton and Hove.
Chichester were all out for 167 as Smith, Stuart Faith (4-35) did the damage with the ball.
Ben Brown (55) and Londis Lewis (50 not out) helped see Eastbourne home to a convincing five wicket victory.
Third place Eastbourne (324 points) are now 28 points behind Nomads (352 points) with two games remaining. Hastings are in second place on 333 points.
Eastbourne travel to Preston Nomads on the final day of the season.
