On Saturday we travel to joint league leaders Burton where I hope to play some part if I feel injury free after Thursday-night training.
Burton haven't lost at home yet this season so hopefully we can sort that on Saturday and pull a little further from the bottom four.

We have had a lot of cup games since the last article which came after our good win at Northwich. Unfortunately we've not had the right result in three of the matches.

The most disappointing one for me was the home game against Barrow in the FA Cup. We did just about enough to win the match but in the end the draw was obviously a great result for the Cumbrians.

I didn't travel for the replay 10 days later but a long two days for the boys saw us out of the cup getting beaten 4-0. In between the two Barrow games we were also knocked out of the Setanta Shield by Ebbsfleet and drew 0-0 with Woking.

The latter was really two points lost against one of the teams we must look to beat at home to give ourselves the points we need to stay relatively comfortable in this division.

With Woking reduced to 10 they lacked a little going forward which in turn made it difficult for us to break them down.

Overall we didn't play well enough to win but to take some positives it was another point and a cleansheet.

Last Saturday we played in probably the nicest Conference ground at Rushden.

As has happened in many games this season we competed pretty well but a hard working Rushden side ran out 2-0 winners.

We did finally win a cup tie on Tuesdy night beating Worthing 2-0 in the SSC and it was nice to see Andy A getting back on the scoresheet.
