Former Wimbledon champion Amelie Mauresmo withdrew from her second round clash against Sam Stosur with a left thigh strain, leading 2-1.
Mauresmo said, "I just felt something on the last point during my first service game and then, during the returning game, I felt that I could not really move that well anymore or push off on my left leg.

"With this happening at the begining of the match, I did not feel like taking any risks before Wimbledon next week.

"I am of course disappointed but I felt I had to make the decision but I had to make the decision to stop it here."
