Eastbourne United AFC manager Brian Dennis believes his league leaders face their toughest test yet after surging to the top of County League division one.
United's fine 4-0 victory over Worthing at the Oval on Saturday sent them top on goal difference with two games in hand over closest rivals Pagham.

Dennis' men have lost just once this season and welcome struggling East Grinstead to the Oval tomorrow with a fully-fit squad to choose from.
However, the United boss is refusing to get carried away and insists the hard work has only just begun.

"We are on top and we have got there through desire, hard work and commitment and that is the only thing that will keep us there. When you are top all the other teams are gunning for you and you are there to be shot down.

"We have to carry on doing exactly what we have been doing and not get ahead of ourselves.

"At times last season we let ourselves down against the lower sides and we have to make sure we do not do that on Saturday."

United's Tobi Hutchinson could face his most recent club tomorrow but Dennis insist he will not seek too much information from his player-coach.

He added, "If we get ourselves right then we should not have too much to worry about. If our preparation and setup is right, then we know we can beat any side in this division."

Dennis also praised his whole side after Reece Head, Ben Billings, Sam Crabb, James Bywater and Brad Manton received county call-ups to face an FA representative side at Lancing on Wednesday.

"I congratulated the entire squad because they have helped these guys earn a call-up. It's a real team effort and recognition of a good start to the season."
