PORTSLADE Cricket Club are set to play home games at the Brighton Aldridge Community Academy in Falmer from next year.

Construction of the £1.8m cricket centre in the grounds of Brighton Aldridge Community Academy began last month and is due to be completed in spring 2016.

From then, Portslade, whose current ground at Benfield Valley cannot be brought up to the standard required to compete in the Sussex League Premier League, will play their home first and second games at the centre, which will also become the club’s training base.
