Proven goalscorer Collins wants to fire Crawley Town to promotion

The ex-Aston Villa and Swindon Town man spent the majority of last season on loan at League Two winners Northampton Town - where he secured his third promotion from the division.
He joins Reds on a three-year deal from a Shrewsbury Town side he was promoted with in 2011 and again in his second spell in 2014.

Hide AdCollins said: “I am delighted to get it over the line, I have know about it for a couple of weeks now. To come down here and get it all sorted I am delighted.
“The new owners and manger’s views I am really pleased with and I am confident we can achieve something good this year.
“I like to score goals, it’s my main job. I want to score as many goals as I can to fire this club back where it belongs.
“I like to link up play and I want to get into the box. I am confident if I get the service, I will put the ball in the back of the net.”

Hide AdAt the Cobblers last season he netted in his 21 appearances and seven times for Town.
Crawley head coach Dermot Drummy said: “We’re absolutely thrilled we’ve been able to bring James to the football club.
“He wants a new challenge and he comes with a very good goalscoring record in League Two.
“We look forward to working with him, making him a better player and to him being part of what we’re trying to achieve long-term here at the club.”
