Hornets boss Colbran ‘disappointed’ with striker Brotherton
Colbran was convinced the player was committed to joining him at Gorings Mead from the Rebels, but it now seems Brotherton will turn out for Ryman South new boys The Tye next season.
Colbran said: “I’m very disappointed with Jamie, I’ve known him for a long time and I’ve kept in touch with him since my time down at Worthing.

“But when he came back off holiday he wasn’t answering my calls, and it was only replying to a Facebook message that he told me he’d decided to play for Peacehaven.
“At the end of the day he’s messed Worthing and us about for the chance of making a bit more money, that’s the only reason I can think of, but what he’s done is burn his bridges.”
And he added: “I can categorically say that as long as I’m manager here he won’t ever be putting on a Horsham shirt, and in two years time when we’re playing in a brand new stadium we’ll see if he still thinks he’s made the right decision.”

One of those is pacy left winger Miles Mitchell, who has joined from local rivals Crawley Down, along with Jamie Cade, Ross Morley and Byron Napper.
Three of the remaining four new additions are strikers, one a Brazilian and the other three 20 years olds with higher league experience.
